FEdS pays specific attention to what’s happening in Scotland in terms of education, lifelong learning and skills. Recognising that many of the issues of interest to FEdS Forum members are different in Scotland, we ensure members are kept up-to-date by producing a monthly Scotland Briefing paper and additional papers on major initiatives.
All members can choose to receive FEdS’ Scottish intelligence briefings produced by our Scotland representative, based in Edinburgh. A number of FEdS members are headquartered in Scotland and many others have personnel working here or business interests north of the border. Even members without a clear connection with Scotland are keen to keep informed about interesting activities and initiatives from another part of the UK.
We also organise occasional member seminars in Scotland, and look for opportunities to enable our members to network with others, both via our monthly UK newsletter and through a newly established pan-professional networking group. Having taken part in a pilot event in February 2011, FEdS is planning to continue to build relationships and get involved in future activities with organisations including those representing lawyers, bankers, accountants and project managers.
