Kay has over 20 years experience in the education-industry and science education fields, and managed GlaxoSmithKline’s education programmes before setting up her own consultancy at the end of 2008. The aim of the consultancy is to help private, public and third sector organisations to work effectively with education to enhance teachers’ and students’ understanding of the world of work, science and technology. Major projects have included an audit, report and recommendations on companies’ work-related learning programmes for the National Science Learning Centre and project management of a 3 year teacher continuing professional development programme for the Science Learning Centre network. Kay is also regional representative for London for the Triple Science Support Programme managed by LSN.
